Dave,

I have been evaluating the new Symantec Client Security version 10 the
last few days and it's good. They've expanded it a lot and added better
detection and cleaning capabilities. I took a test machine (A VM IMAGE)
which was filled with different spyware programs that Spybot, Ad-aware,
etc.., could not clean and it seems to have cleaned them all. I've
rebooted several times and have been monitoring it and so far no
problems. It's on it's 8th day.

Although it looks good I still wouldn't rely on just it. I like
Microsoft's Antispyware and MS soon should be adding back in the last
few features the Giant version had. Also the Enterprise Edition is
expected to release the last part of this year so I plan on upgrading to
it. That is of course if Microsoft don't price it out of my budget.

Subject: AV that supoprts spy/adware

Anyone have a list of AV that detects spyware? We are currently using
eTrust with spybot and the MS beta antispyware. I'd like to get
something that's integrated. Thanks.
