Apparently your time is quite cheap. Mine, however, isn't. Still there
are people who seem to think my time is worth the money they have to pay
for it.

Yes, backing stuff up is quite easy. Backing it up in a way that it can
be restored according to the requirements of the user is far from being
as easy, though. You seem to grossly underestimate the cost of
reliability and availability.
