The feasability rely on the fact that you can configure the box which
receive the public address to forward all or a subset of the incoming
request to an inside address, or better, get the public address directly
on a linux box for exemple(the cable setups i am used to (Cable &
wireless for exemple) do give you a public address trough dhcp, so it
would not be a problem. If this is not the case, you basically cant do
much to get the client connect to your lan directly.

As of the hacked scenario, there is no blocker to get an openvpn or ssh
tunnel to the public linux server and get the windows client connect via
ipsec for exemple on that box and make it route back to your inside
network. This is doable. I do advise you to use openvpn or any udp based
vpn technology starting from the lan (TCP in TCP issues with ssh based
vpn's).
