I know it's not exactly the answer you want to hear, but if your Netgear 
isn't currently capable of terminating a tunnel, they do make a SOHO 
router with IPSec tunneling capability.  It's not the most sophisticated 
thing on the market, but for outbound only tunnels, it's fine--and 
<$200, I believe (Linksys makes one for about $125).  The Netscreen on 
the distant end can NAT inbound src IPs to resolve any network issues 
and you wouldn't have to worry about desktop touches either.

I'm sure Doug would much rather have you buy a Juniper/Netscreen 5GT to 
replace the Netgear (;-)), and they are nice to have, but the Netgear 
may well be all you need and you can forget about all the client VPN 
problems.  Even when client VPN is working, it's still a bit of a pain 
to manage all the user accounts.
