The hole recently found in Firebird by dtors.net is the same hole that 
SNOSoft pointed out in the Interbase family of database products some 
time last year. Since Firebird is a direct cousin of Interbase it is 
also vulnerable to most of the same issues Interbase is. Exploits for 
these issues were released in the past by [email protected] .
