The only anecdotes that I heard about the CSSLP is that a) ISC2 marketing people showed up unannounced to the OWASP AppSec NYC in 2008 in order to announce the CSSLP certification, and b), the CSSLP was launched in a computer-based test that is available via Pearson VUE testing centers (however, I tried to register and the process failed, apparently back to a manual process). I'd be curious to hear if anyone has success registering for the CSSLP and actually physically taking it at a Pearson VUE center with no ISC2 people around, pass, and actually earn the certification. What I find very interesting is that all ISC2 exams are moving to the computer-based format, yet the cost appears to be remaining at $545/$595 for 1-month-advance-registration/less-than-1-month-advanced-registration (note: the average price for Pearson VUE exams is around $149, many at the common Microsoft/Cisco/etc $125 price point).
