I'm still using localhost for most things, except SMB (because of the nasty TCP 445 listener that binds to 0.0.0.0!!) The patch is no longer needed when you're running fully patches windows XP SP2 machines, so that's not a worry anymore. The loopback adapter is a great solution for lots of situations, but I don't have a way yet to install these using an installer or script - has to be done manual, which is a minus for me. If anyone has managed to install the loopback automatically, please let me know! And yes, indeed, Thanks Neil Winton, ZBD has been a lifesaver for many many years, and hopefully will be for years to come!
