Public key and machine name ..

When I had Zebedee create a public key, I noticed it added my machine name.
Is this purely for informational purposes, or does Zebedee do any checking
on the local side to make sure the machine name next to the public key is
the same as the machine attempting to connect to the Zebedee server?  I'm
assuming this is just informational, but wanted to make sure before I go and
edit all of these with more descriptive names for my servers ID file.
