after a struggle, I succeeded in installing Zebedee on my Linux RH9 server. I want to speed transmission btw the Firebird server and clients. Following the only instructions I could find, in http://www.ibphoenix.com/main.nfs?a=ibphoenix&l=;IBPHOENIX.PAGES;NAME='ibp_zebedee' I issued the command zebedee s localhost:3050 on the server and zebedee 3051:servernamehere:3050 on the client (an old PC w/ W95 ) According to the instructions above, I could now "connect to my Firebird Server using the connection string: localhost/3051:PathToYourDataBase " well, nothing of the sort happens. Instead, I get the error message ISC ERROR CODE:335544721 ISC ERROR MESSAGE: Unable to complete network request to host "localhost". Failed to establish a connection. I also tried IP.ad.dre.ss/3051:/path/databaseName.gdb and I get the same error. What is wrong ? I have tried the commands above with multiple firebird client tools. How can I debug transmission btw client and server ?
