Category: Plugins Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 9 Submitted By: John Goerzen (jgoerzen) Assigned to: Garvin Hicking (garvinhicking) Summary: Spamblock doesn't block trackbacks Initial Comment: Hello, In the plugin configuration for Spamblock in 1.0beta2, I have set: * How to treat comments via APIs: moderate * Check trackback URLs: no * Activate wordfilter: reject * Wordfilter for URLs: contains the word "ambien" * URL filtering from blogg.de: reject * Wordfilter for author names: also contains the word "ambien" I turned on the moderation of API posts due to trouble with trackback spam not being detected (though that was spam without a key word in it). Now, since that time, I have received numerous trackbacks containing the word "ambien". They are all moderated, which is good at least. However, they should have matched both wordfilters, and thus should have just been rejected. I don't know why that's not happening, and I've had about a dozen of them since last night. Thanks, -- John ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: John Goerzen (jgoerzen) Date: 2006-04-24 21:05 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=491567 Indeed it does seem to be working now. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: John Goerzen (jgoerzen) Date: 2006-04-12 15:21 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=491567 I updated my blog to the SVN 1.0 branch today. I will let you know how it turns out. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Garvin Hicking (garvinhicking) Date: 2006-04-10 13:45 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=473563 Actually, the spamblock plugin evaluated a list of rules until the first rule was hit. It did not filter the mails further to check if any other rules are met. Because of the current trackback situation, I think this is no longer useful. I've patched the plugin so that now when a "MODERATE" rule is hit, the following rules will also be evaluted in case a "REJECT" rule might hit an item. Please check out the latest SVN and report if this solves your issues, or if it introduces new bugs/problems, please? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=542822&aid=1467707&group_id=75065 ------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
