Category: Frontend functions Group: None Status: Open >Resolution: Accepted >Priority: 8 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) >Assigned to: Garvin Hicking (garvinhicking) Summary: Database error in serendipity_exits Initial Comment: The serendipity_exits table contains a primary key (entry_id, day, host). This leads to the problem that whenever an entry contains two links with the same host but different paths, only the first one clicked at a day will work. The other will yield a constraint violation of the serendipity_exit_pkey-constraint, effectivly preventing the redirection to the link target. The reason is that the two links are distinct for the software but not for the database. S9Y tries to write the statistics for the second link into the database using exactly the same primary key as for the first one which will obviously fail. Proposed fix is to add the path-column to the primary key. This can be done in the running system by doing a ALTER TABLE serendipity_exits DROP CONSTRAINT "serendipity_exits_pkey"; ALTER TABLE serendipity_exits ADD PRIMARY KEY (entry_id,day,host,path); The fix is tested and works on my system. I will fix it as soon as I get SVN access back, later this weekend, for the SVN trunk.
