Initial Comment:
I just upgraded s9y from 0.8.4 to 1.0, and had the
following problem:

A confixx-administered user had no privilege to use
CREATE INDEX on a mysql database. Rephrasing the failed
queries to ALTER TABLE ... ADD INDEX was possible and
worked fine.

While this may not be a bug, i think these set-ups are
common enough to alter the update scripts so that even
without the index privilege, the update works.
