Summary: python rendering of geshi function

Initial Comment:
on inserting [geshi lang=python ] my code sample [/geshi]

it first tries to convert the s9y formatting syntaxes
into html and then geshi gets run and all I get is
strong and br html tags for all * and new line

example here

Yes, nl2br is meant to convert newlines, so this is
intentional behaviour. :)

And the "*" conversion is also caused intentionaly by the
s9y markup plugin, however once you use true HTML or code,
this will cause conflicts, and thus you'll really need to
remove those.

Have fun,
Garvin

I removed , nl to BR(markup plugin) and serendipityplugin
I suppose * is converted to strong by the serendipity plugin
and nl2br converts newlines to </br> tags.
is this a bug.. anyways..
now it works for me thanks ..

Hi!

This appears to be a simple problem of other markup plugins
affecting your output. Check which ones you have installed,
and try to make your geshi plugin one of the first markups
in the list of your event plugins. It's suggested you remove
the "Serendipity Markup" plugin, if you use GeSHi - that
should make a difference?

HTH,
Garvin
