Summary: guestbook Plugin: sqlite incompatibily

Initial Comment:

version: 2.8

If installed, the plugin executes teh Query:
CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS.

I'm trie to use the sqlite Backend.
It seems this dont support IF NOT EXISTS.

i removed it.. get only a warning during install, that table exists (seems install function is called twice).

And no sql errors about missing Tables anymore.

It seems there are many sqlite incompatiblities in the Whole Software...

Hi!

Generally we try to have SQLite compatibility as well as possible. The
serendipity core package honours SQLite, but plugin developers are often
not used to compatibilityissues. So plugins like the guestbook plugin, that
are not coded by core developers, can have outages like this. "Whole
software" so is a very broad term that I wouldn't like to see applied in
this case ;)

SQLite is only used by about 5% of our users,so we need feedback like
yours to get the attention that something is wrong. I'll commit a fix for
your report tomorrow! :)

Best regards,
Garvin
