Category: Administrative functions Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Out of Date Priority: 2 Private: No Submitted By: Avochelm (avochelm) Assigned to: Garvin Hicking (garvinhicking) Summary: Cannot log out on Vista Initial Comment: Cannot log out if "save information" is checked on login. I would have thought that the action of logging out should override this. If this is a bug, I will try and investigate the cause - possibly session data not being wiped? S9Y version: 1.2 Server signature: Apache/2.2.6 (Win32) PHP/5.2.4 Server at localhost ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2007-10-23 09:52 Message: Logged In: NO > Which browser are you using? Tested on latest version of IE7 & Firefox. > Can you list which event plug-ins you are using? No plug-ins; fresh install. > Are you using any proxy or anti-virus program that might mangle with your cookies/network connect? The server and client are on the same machine (a desktop running Vista). I will try disabling McAffee. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Garvin Hicking (garvinhicking) Date: 2007-10-23 07:16 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=473563 Originator: NO Which browser are you using? I should also mention that I am running this on Windows Vista, which is full of bugs. I tried clearing my cookies manually and I was logged out. However, when I logged back in and then out again, my the cookies were not cleared. So, it seems to be a problem there. This is what cookies were set after I logged out: serendipity[old_session] serendipity[author_token] serendipity[author_information] serendipity[userDefLang] PHPSESSID ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: SourceForge Robot (sf-robot) Date: 2007-10-19 02:20 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1312539 Originator: NO This Tracker item was closed automatically by the system. Hm, this works for me. In some cases when people updated from s9y 1.1 to 1.2, the old session cookies were never removed. Can you try to make your browser purge all cookies, and then try again? This might remove the leftover cookies so that only the new ones are now properly used.
