Hi, You have a couple of possibilities. You can use syslog-ng from EPEL. It is an older version of syslog-ng (but still almost a decade younger than the version in EPEL 7), and it will stay at this version for the lifecycle of EPEL 9. Or you can use one of my unofficial repositories: https://www.syslog-ng.com/community/b/blog/posts/overview-of-syslog-ng-rpm-repositories Peter Peter Czanik (CzP) <[email protected]> Balabit (a OneIdentity company) / syslog-ng upstream https://syslog-ng.com/community/ https://twitter.com/PCzanik ________________________________ From: syslog-ng <[email protected]> on behalf of Klimek, Bryan J. <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, November 15, 2023 19:33 To: 'Syslog-ng users' and developers' mailing list' <[email protected]> Subject: [syslog-ng] New install CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not follow guidance, click links, or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. We’ve been using Syslog-ng for a long time. Our current deployment is on Red Hat 7 servers that we built 6 years ago. It’s time to start a refresh of our Syslog-ng environment. Our plan is to use Red Hat 9 servers. Can you give me a jumping off point on where to obtain installation instructions and how to obtain the installation media. Thank you.
