Sandisk Clip Plus dropping off Windows

Hello,

I'm running rockbox on my Sandisk Clip Plus. It's been working for a
while now, lately it's been starting to act up. I power it up and my
bookmark list is showing up as empty. I restart it and it does the
same thing. Now I plug it in to the computer it shows up for a second
or maybe ten to twenty seconds under my computer then drops off, then
the system says USB device not recognized. I did get it on long enough
and checked out a defrag analysis, It's pretty full, 8 gb of internal
memory, 256 MB of that is free, 28% file fragmentation. I don't know
if this is the cause it's not staying up on the system long enough.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.
