Bricked Sansa Clip Plus Help

Hi Everyone, Can someone lead me to the right direction in recovering data off a Bricked Clip Plus 2gb which doesn't show up in Windows or Boot either in OF or RB. It came up in Rockbox some ATA error before totally crashing. What does the recovery pin do? I might have someone that can read the chip with a Chip Reader, Does someone know if the data is stored on the chip in an encrypted form, and if yes does anyone have a way to unencrypt it?
