Hardwre mic amplification in Sansa Clip+?

  Hello!
  Could somebody tell me whether the Sansa Clip+ player has a hardware
microphone amplification or not? In other words, when I tune the
amplification parameter during recording, do I change some voltage
controlling the amplification coefficient or do I simply multiply the
 sampled signal by some number?
