Lol, it will take abotu 45 minutes to copy the data from the older Samsung 32 GB SD card:

merkaba:~> LANG=C df -hT -t vfat
Filesystem Type Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sdd1 vfat 30G 29G 574M 99% /media/martin/MUSIK
/dev/mmcblk0p1 vfat 59G 4.6G 54G 8% /media/martin/MUSIK1

And I am seeing a rather suboptimal I/O behavior here while copying with
rsync and also write errors.

merkaba:~> vmstat 1

[Bug 83561] New: Suboptimal chainsaw behavior in copying between to SD cards

[Bug 83571] New: errors on writing on Samsung MicroSDXC 64 GB card in MMC card reader in ThinkPad T520

both on bugzilla.kernel.org

I bet both are kernel bugs. I don´t think the card is defective.

I hope I find some way to transfer the files from old card to new one. Maybe
I need a new USB based card reader if the MMC/SD driver in Linux Kernel is
broke with that Ricoh reader in this ThinkPad.

Ciao,
