I like just putting things into folders, and playing the folder I want to
play.
I just found an app for my iPhone that allows me to do this, it is called
EZmP3.
I can transfer music to my iPhone via my WIFI without iTunes, and I can play
music either by playlist or by folder.

Tell me about it. I just put about 8 gigabytes of vorbis, organized by
*composer*, on an Android tablet. Just getting tracks in the right order
has involved loads of metadata revision. Thank goodness I don't have to
do it under windows.

Apparently, simply playing stuff gaplessly and in directory order is too
much to ask. Indeed, a perusal of forum discussions on the subject leads
me to wonder if I'm not some kind of pervert for desiring those things (in
particular, repeated bizarre and emotionally-charged defenses of the gap,
which leads me to believe that many people don't know what "gapless"
means).
