You should be able to start any Clip player in MSC mode by holding in the center button, the OK/select/enter button, as you connect the player to your computer. This should cause it to be detected correctly by the installer. Tested with a Clip Zip, but should work on the Plus as well. Also, your installer should download the correct original Sandisk firmware for your player, which needs to be patched with the Rockbox boot loader in order to run the Rockbox files you unzipped to your player's memory. If this Sandisk firmware isn't downloaded and patched automatically by the installer, it should tell you where to get it. Hope this helps.
