I may be wrong & am definitely no expert in battery life management but : > I started storing my Lithium batteries based on quite a bit of googling technical websites that seemed serious enough (like rc modelling, battery manufacturer, wiki, etc..) > Although I'm not 100% sure about this, I would say that once stored in the fridge, my batteries have a slower auto discharge rate. Considering they have to be kept above a minimal charge level AND knowing they wear out depending on the number of charge cycles, I'd still say it's beneficial to store them cold. > Anyway as long as nobody tells me it has a negative impact, I'll probably stick to my rules but feel free to check by yourselves : I see no reason why you should trust me rather than Andy ----- Tshaw !! Shallow charges are good, and they should be topped off before going into storage. Heat should also be avoided, but like I said, refrigeration isn't beneficial. -- Christopher (CJ) chaltain at Gmail ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe: http://cool.haxx.se/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/rockbox FAQ: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/GeneralFAQ Etiquette: http://www.rockbox.org/mail/etiquette.html ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe: http://cool.haxx.se/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/rockbox FAQ: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/GeneralFAQ Etiquette: http://www.rockbox.org/mail/etiquette.html
