pitch changes on Sansa Clip Plus

Hi,
I have a Sansa Clip Plus, I installed the Rockbox with the latest stable version, about a couple of months ago.
One annoying thing I have encountered is that there are times where I start from a bookmark and the pitch is off.
I have sometimes noticed that I can change the pitch with the up and down on the main 4-way button, but most of the time, this only does the pause with the up arrow button.
I have tried various button pushes to try to get back into the pitch settings mode to get it back to something close to normal, but most of the time, I cannot get into that mode.
Is there a way I can turn off the pitch settings so this does not happen?
I have looked through the sound settings and the playback settings and have found nothing for pitch.
