The voice files for your player are stored in .rockbox/langs/<language>.voice. So if you use English, your voice file should be .rockbox/langs/english.voice. If you have a different voice, then it sounds like this file may have been overwritten. If your directories and files are speaking in the wrong voice, it means that your .talk clips have been overwritten, but this seems less likely.
