I do also have a XDuoo X3, and I can confirm that Rockbox talks on it. 
Nice player, very good audio quality indeed. Only downside I have found 
is the relatively limited battery runtime; between 8 and 9 hours before 
it needs to be recharged.


Personally I still have an Iriver H340 as my all time favourite, which I 
still use despite of the Xduoo. I have replaced the hard drive on the 
Iriver with SD cards and a total storage space of about 500 GB, enough 
to play all the FLAC albums I want to bring with me. :-)
