THIS IS AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE, DO NOT REPLY. The following task has a new comment added: FS#13881 - Screen text appears too far up on the display User who did this - Solomon Peachy (speachy) ---------- The LCD that came with the hw3/hw4 generation has the same display resolution (ie 320x240) but is slightly different physically. Unfortunately they did not adjust the display bezel accordingly. We have two options, both suck. 1) Report a smaller display resolution, eg 320x232, and leave the upper edge the display unused. This will mean that the different hw generations of the same device will require different themes. 2) Continue reporting 320x240 but shift the image down by 8 pixels, cutting off the bottom of the display, leading to the same effective resolution as (1) but maintaining theme compabiility. Of course, this will lead to folks complaining about the bottom of the screen being cut off instead. I don't know which approach the stock firmware uses; it would take a side-by-side comparison. But since their UI isn't user-themeable anyway, it really doesn't matter. Which leads to... 3) modify the case to make the display bezel thinner -- which also sucks, just in a different manner. ---------- More information can be found at the following URL: https://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/13881#comment45481 You are receiving this message because you have requested it from the Flyspray bugtracking system.
