A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below.

User who did this - Jonah (333z)

Attached to Project - Rockbox
Summary - iPod Classic will not turn on after idle poweroff with HOLD switch engaged.
Task Type - Bugs
Category - Operating System/Drivers
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To -
Operating System - iPod Classic
Severity - Low
Priority - Very Low
Reported Version - Daily build (which?)
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - Target or Device: iPod Classic Model MC293LL (7th gen) with iFlash CF + Sandisk 120GB CF card, standard replacement battery
Release or version: 078a506dfd-260712 (latest dev build), it also occurred on 4.0 stable

Steps to reproduce:
  1. Install latest daily build on Rockbox
  2. Enable hold switch, wait for idle poweroff timeout (my setting is 5 min)
  3. After system is powered off, there is no response to disengaging the HOLD switch and press center button to power on.

Workaround: hold Menu+Center button for roughly 12 seconds, press center and menu a few more times and it will power on.

I'm unsure if DFU mode is accidentally engaged when it idle powers off. Hope this report helps, let me know if there are any logs I can attach.
