BTW we're on 8.3.03 and that's out of support too but we have that running on 7.5

The #1 gotcha is probably whether the key is supported.  Hopefully you have support and can get a key for the new box.  If not, be prepared to catch up on maintenance, plus penalty.  If it exceeds the current list price of the software you will have to pay the higher amount.  Many people have been burned by this.  I'm glossing this over.  It's worse than I make it sound.

Basically your release is not supported on those versions of the OS.  But since you have it on 7.3 you're in better shape than a lot of people.  You've already got past issues like object compatibility.

7.3 hits end of support 2023-09-30.

We are currently running BPCS 6.0.02 on an older IBM system that IBM will soon no longer support. We are going to upgrade our hardware to a new Power 10 system. We are currently on 7.3 of the OS. When we upgrade the hardware, I would like to also upgrade to 7.4 of the OS. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who is running a BPCS 6.0 version on 7.4? If so, were there any special gotchas that you had to work around or were you able to simply port BPCS over to the new system without any changes?
