If the reason you are trying to track the identity of the last user to update some record, and when that happened, perhaps you might consider taking a look at Uncle Milt's "Needle in Haystack" product, which sends alerts when there are updates to BPCS of a suspicious nature, which could be human error, or could be some naughty person whose interests do not mesh well with that of the company. It does not matter if the update was made thru BPCS, or via a hacker, Milty's Needle will skewer them & send alert up chain of command, spelling out consequences of their action(s)..
