Re: ITH Size

Actually, the guy who runs month end keeps a detailed spreadsheet going 
back a long time on how each step of the month end takes.  Each reorg, 
etc.

YMMV

We run a Power 8 on IBM i 7.2.  The LX lpar is a guest lpar on another 
lpar of IBM i.  That lpar of IBM i is all SSD's.

Currently ITH 9 million records.  Considering a process change that could 
greatly increase the daily ITH record created.  Boss is concerned about 
the size of ITH and performance considerations.  If you can please respond 
with your ITH size and any other information you feel would be of use. We 
cannot purge ITH at month end due to an internal reporting process. We are 
working on another new process that will allow purging of ITH at month 
end.
