How to indent a block of code

Using Code/400 I want to indent a block of code.  So I looked at the keys 
help.  Looked like F8 is the trick.  However after highlighting a block of 
code, through various methods, and hitting F8 all's it did was move my 
cursor down a page.  I kept trying this until it blew code out of memory 
with some strange error messages.  (Which left the member locked even 
after telling the communications daemon to shutdown all servers - had to 
actually sign off the STRCODE session).
