Debugger Time-Out?

Yesterday I used the interactive debugger with no problems.  Today, I
receive a message on the PC "Host: CPF3918 Service Request cancelled".
CPF3918 second level text is "Cause . . . . . :   You replied C (cancel) to
a message telling you that the serviced job did not reply within the
specified time period. The serviced request is canceled."  
So apparently, something is timing out.

Any ideas about what or where to look?
