That was the case for us as well.  There was a copy of the user space that holds your IP address in QGPL (which was higher in the library list), once we got rid of it then the one in our individual libraries' got used instead and all went well from then on.  BTW: we all use the same server name with no problem.

Maybe you both have the same server defined?
