You have voiced a number of my plaints! My other one is that there is no 
way to get a prototype of a printer file in Designer. SEU on steroids? NOT! 
And there is still nothing for logical files.

This is the way so much of this stuff "works" - right-click should select, 
as should moving through the tree with the arrow keys. I believe RSE has 
the same issues. This comment applies to the following paragraphs, as well.

Have you tried the source (design?) panel? You can edit directly there, 
just as in CODE edit.
