I only have 256 MB of Ram. When I run WDS it uses 500 MB of Ram. I think
you are right about the XP thing. I'm trying to build a case to my
superior to get me a new PC.

Well, I think part of the problem is running XP on an PIII. How much ram
do
you have? An increase may help. I have a 1.8 GHZ P4 with 1GB of ram
running
W2K Pro. I use WDSC 5.0 and other than the long (1 min +) startup time,
my
performance is excellent. Even when running five 5250 sessions and the
Notes client. Among other things.  YMMV

Hello,

I'm have WDS installed on my PC and the performance is extremely
sluggish. It takes about 2 minutes to start WDS and response after that
is slow. Also if I am running any other applications they are equally as
slow. I have a 530 MHZ PIII with a 10GB hard drive with XP Pro
installed. From what I've read my PC isn't really suited for running
WDS. Can anyone tell me what sort of performance increase I will see if
I get a new PC? I'd have to imagine anything new will be fine, but will
I see a big performance increase?
