You would be better off submitting this to the VARPG newsgroup:
news://news.software.ibm.com/ibm.software.varpg
OR
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&group=ibm.software.varpg

Since the later versions of VARPG support generating JAVA, you may want to
investigate going that direction. This would allow you to serve up the app from
an iSeries and have the 'subfile' built there. I have not tried this, but I
would think the performance would be better.

Subject: performance issue..

Hello all,
I am facing small problem. In my project. Please help me ..
I have application developed using VARPG The application server is in USA. and
my indian customer & USA customers are operating this application. When US
people are using this application while loading data in subfile there is no
problem. but when Indian users are accessing same application via internet to
load 550 records in a subfile from the database file it takes around 15 minutes.
Can anybody suggest me the better way / solution for this problem.
(Note : The subfile is loaded record by record without using embedded sql.)

Thanks in advance.

Thanks & Regards
