Since CODE uses the windows installer to install itself,  you can possibly
complete
you installation by starting with the disk it failed on, finding the *.msi
(or is it 
*.inf?) file in the root dir of the CD, and right-clicking on it. You should
get the options 'Install' , 'Repair' etc.  Click 'repair' and hope for the
best.

FWIW, I remember having all kinds of problems,  and the debugger was
unusable until I applied SP1.
So if you can't find copies of the service packs,  you're in for trouble.
