Re: VARPG application Installation

I think I can help with your first question.  When I was at COMMON last
spring I learned this was possible and with the help from the VARPG
people I met and lots of trial and error, I got to this...

1.  Package your application in the IFS in the iSeries (say folder A).
2.  During packaging, if you have not already installed Runtime on your
PC, do it now.  You only need to do this once on your PC.
3.  Use the setup.exe in your installed application to install the
package to another folder in the IFS (say folder B).
4.  Copy the AS4TBL folder from the Runtime you installed on your PC to
folder B.
5.  Copy all of the files in the Runtime SYSTEM folder on your PC to
the /B/SYSTEM folder in the IFS.

This way, anyone who as access to execute the .exe file in folder
/B/SYSTEM can run the VARPG program.  I give our users menu option from
the iSeries to execute the VARPG program.

If anyone knows of a way to do this without having to have multiple
copies of the Runtime files in the IFS I would be very interested in
hearing it.

Hello All,
We have developed application using VARPG & created package to install
at on user site. 
I have following queries.
1. do we need to install package on every user's pc or I can install it
Server and user can access from server .
2. Suppose User has change IP address of AS/400 . I have to change .RST
file of every component and application. can anyone suggest any simple
method to achieve this.
