VARPG and service programs

Hi all,
 
I have a service program that is used by some VARPG components.
Component A loads some values into SRVPGM 1, then Component B gets those
values (sort of like passing parameters).  This has worked 100%
consistently for me until today.  For some reason, Component B runs the
statements to access SRVPGM 1, but when I have SRVPGM 1 in debug in
green screen, it is not breaking - but the program acts as if the
everything is working correctly (except the values it's trying to get
are all blank).
 
Is Component B using a different job for SRVPGM 1 for some reason?  How
would I find out what that is?
 
I realize this is kind of a vague question, but any help would be great,
this is killing me.
 
Comp A -----> SrvPgm 1 (in debug, I can see the values loaded into
SrvPgm1)
Comp B <----- SrvPgm 1 (in debug, no breaks occur, but Comp B runs the
procedure calls to SrvPgm1).
