VARPG - Pressing spacebar on a checkbox.

I have two VARPG programs with checkboxes and push buttons.  
In program #1, when I press spacebar on a checkbox, it triggers the
SELECT event action.  
In program #2, when I press spacebar on a checkbox, it triggers the 1st
push button's PRESS event.  If I check the checkbox it triggers the
SELECT event.  The push button does not have Default selected.
