Correction: last saved December 2016
I submitted feedback to add content to
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21358548
suggesting something like:
This how you restore from that file generated by listnlo when using IBM's
Backup and Recovery Media Services (BRMS) available on IBM i:
RSTBRM DEV(...) OBJ(*LIST) LIST(*DAOS '/ARCHIVE2/NOTES/DATA/missing.txt')

Subject: BRMS: Restoring a file with DAOS
Sent by: "Domino400" <domino400-bounces-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected]>
I had to dig back into the archives on our VTL and restored a file. This
file was last saved December 2017 and is set to expire in about 2 weeks.
WRKLNKBRM DIR('/ARCHIVE2/NOTES/DATA/archive')
Had to dig through a few to get to the December one until I finally found
an old copy.
Used the appropriate option in BRMS to restore the file.
Then I used this command in Domino
tell daosmgr listnlo -o missing.txt archive/a_mmouse.nsf
...
DAOSMGR: ListNLO completed - 155 entries processed
So, is there some way to pipe missing.txt into BRMS to restore these
NLO's? Seems like a documented process in TSM.

Holy moly I think there is!!!
RSTBRM DEV(USSGVTL) OBJ(*LIST) LIST(*DAOS
'/ARCHIVE2/NOTES/DATA/missing.txt') SAVLVL(*SAVDATE) SAVDATE(120816)
God bless IBM!!!!
