Some of these servers are so unstable (like our primary NAB/email server) 
that the boss says leave them down and let them work off of the cluster 
mates.

IBM:  Check your communication config...
Me:  What would you like to check?
IBM:  Run a trace (with link to domino trace command) about the time of 
the restart.
Me:  Since the restarts are completely random are you asking me to run a 
trace from a program document which repeats every 10 minutes?  And, if so, 

any particular server I should run the trace to?

It's like they are tossing meaningless questions to me so they don't have 
to work on it.

At least with the new salesforce system they no longer ask you if you want 

phone, email, etc since they never really cared anyway.
Just hate having a sev 1 question and getting meaningless questions via 
email.  And if you call it's call back only.

I put on the latest cume, groups, recommended PTF's prior to doing a Power 



8 to Power 9 upgrade this weekend.

I've got a few sev 1 calls open with IBM dealing with servers down, etc 
since then.

TS001023184     QUALITY Domino server crashes on HTTP
TS001016613     NOTES01: Cannot connect

When I get a minute I can then deal with the various "server restart" 
messages...

And then there's the messages stuck in the mail#.box files.  Not a router 
issue.  When I try to open the mail file of the recipients I am getting:
The database is being taken off-line and cannot be opened:  <director of 
HR>

I'd like to brag about the Power 9 but I feel like there's a reporting 
sticking a microphone in my face and saying "Other than that, Mrs Lincoln, 



how was the play?".
