I have another ticket with HCL regarding Domino.  UPDALL task, ran via RUNDOMCMD, was stuck for 4 hours.
They suspected it was this one database and wasn't it huge?
I sent them a list of databases in that directory and their sizes, sorted by size descending, via a screen snip from Domino administrator.  The database they were calling into question was down the list aways.
Their comment:

Well, no <fecal matter> Sherlock.  That happens when you sort it by size.
