Demand source and the demand policy.

File MSP72 (demand file) has a field PDSC72 which contains a value that
controls how the demand appears on the MPS enquiry screen, MP050. In
particular, it controls whether the PDQT72 value is included in the
"Adjusted Demand" value displayed on the screen.  It uses a Table/Array
cross reference and indicator combo method of determining whether to include
a demand record in the "Adjusted Demand" total. 

 

How does this tie in with the demand policy in the production details file ?


 

I have items set items up with a demand policy of 2 which should result in
the adjusted demand being the greater of Forecast compared to Sales. But the
logic in the inquiry program has me totally confused.
