A/P Session Question

My accounting department has a session that has a status of "P" with a 
type in IN.  When you go into a/p session inquiry, 3/APE, and display the 
session details, there's no transactions for the session.  Accounting has 
asked me to cancel the session.  What's the proper way to do this?  Thanks 
in advance.
