If you are looking to create PDF's from iSeries reports we use a tool called SPLTOOL.  It converts *SCS spool files to PDF, HTML, RTF, or text.  It's not free but its fairly inexpensive ($499). We have been using it for many years and use it to automatically distribute or daily/nightly reports via email.  The email contains links to HTML views of the reports.

I noticed that on ibm navigator there is an option to convert a printer output to pdf but when I try to do this it tells me that I have no printer that supports conversion to pdf.

How do I set up such a printer, and does it cost extra money in terms of licences etc?
