Yes, we have no control which location it allocates to, only lot. One company tried putting the location in the lot, so they could choose when they allocated, but whenever they moved location they had to do a lot transformation which was an inventory transaction. Location transfers do not create an inventory transaction. If stock was allocated, they had to deallocate before moving and this created more work. The major issue was what items were allocated and how. When looking at the program the logical file selected items by location instead of items by receipt date or oldest lot. I was going to modify the program but we decided to upgrade to Aurora 2.3.
