Hi

The GL enquiry often defaults to the current open period i.e. if accounts
have not closed period 1108, it will default to that. If you over type the
period with 1110, it will show the correct transactions for that period. If
this is not the case and the transactions have been posted to the incorrect
period, you need to understand why and how before doing anything to correct
them.

Thanks for the input guys. I stopped the subsystem and started again and it 
helped. However when I go to option 1/GLE and check the period field it
shows 
the 2 months back period which is not right. For example if the current
period 
is 1110(YYMM) it is showing me 1108.

When I tried changing it through option 1/ASCO, though it shoed me the
required 
period but then the net movement valus and the ytd values were same for all
the 
account for period 1110 and 11109 which should not be the case. Could
anybody 
please tell me what needs to be done to correct the period and getting the 
actual values of net movemnt and ytd movement.

Most likely the background job that does the GL updates is not running but
even if it is running, try ending the GL subsystem using menu GLU option 32
and started again using the same option.
