Re: data collection systems (alternatives to MDCC)

In my opinion the best alternate that is available is Highjump's data
collection ( http://www.highjump.com ).

Just be aware, the MDCC is recommended solution from INFOR at this time.
All other software is finding it more difficult to integrate as INFOR
focuses on its partners.

Prior to implementing MDCC, we used Kronos very successfully, for several
years.  Kronos did require special terminals at the time, but it was
possible to have transactions entered directly from a PC if you wanted to do
so, and the data flowed through to PMC.  Also, at FFT, we developed a couple
custom screens, using standard PMC input as the base, to gather
transactions.  That was pretty easy to do.  I'm not sure if that's what you
are looking for, but I'd be pleased to go into more detail if you are
interested.  The technology has really improved a lot that way recently.

Management has seen MDCC and wants to know (for comparison purposes) if
there are other data collection systems that integrate w/XA. Not
interested in any systems that require specialized time clocks/data
